TNT EXPRESS Scam is a scam campaign, designed to distribute Agent Tesla virus – a Remote Access Trojan. There are many spam emails similar to this sent in spam campaigns – large scale operations during which such emails are disguised as are coming from legit companies, organizations, institutions, service providers and others. However, these deceptive emails are used for proliferate malware, phishing and other scams.

TNT EXPRESS Scam– description

TNT EXPRESS Scam is an email-based threat which is currently being pushed against computer users. The email spam impersonates as a delivery notification from TNT Express -a well known international courier service company, subsidiary of the FedEX multinational delivery service giant. The email appears with the subject line Consignment Notification: You Have A Package With Us and with the following characteristics:

• Template message – The email is based on preset template based
• An attached file – A small archive file or a document is attached to the email message
• Non-personalized Greeting – the message does not include any specifically name or detail about customer

The text within TNT EXPRESS Scam email informs recipients that their goods have been booked and delivered by TNT Express. Then, they are manipulated to think that they need to review and address the attached documents to receive that package. They are altered that this should be done within 15 days after which the shipment will be abandoned. Also, the message states that 8 days have already been passed and hence they have only 7 days left for the status to not get abandoned.
