  • Mark all the days your office or clinic will remain closed as well as the days you have any special task to perform and you can manage appointments. Marking such days means you are blocking these days for appointments.
  • Also block the hours of the day in which you are not willing in taking appointments. For example if you are willing in taking appointments after 10:00.a.m. to 5:00 p.m. block all the hours before 10.a.m to 5:00 p.m.
  • Decide the time for each appointment that you want to allocate. It usually depends on the type of profession and importance of the appointment. For example, a doctor may reserve 15 minutes for an appointment whereas, for another profession it may extend from 30 minutes to 45 minutes.
  • Also consider the needs and requirements of your clients or customers. For this if a particular customer or client requests you with a valid reason for a specific appointment time, you must respect their request.
  • Usually appointments are organized by assistants or secretaries, therefore it is important to communicate each and every aspect of an appointment clearly with them in order to reduce the chances of getting mistakes.
  • Be punctual and try to make your clients and customers also punctual by starting and finishing an appointment in time.
